Words to remember:

State system – free system.

Nursery school  a school for children between the ages of about two and five.

Primary school in the U.K. and other countries, a school for children between five and eleven years old.

Secondary school  a school for older children, usually children aged approximately 14-18.

Comprehensive school a school in the UK for children above the age of eleven of all abilities.

Grammar school in the UK, a school for children aged between eleven and 18 who have passed an examination that shows they are good at studying.

Leave school finish school.

Timetable a detailed plan showing when events or activities will happen.

Subjectan area of knowledge that is studied in school, college, or university.
